Job Description

We are hiring an experienced Solar Technician to assemble, mount, wire, and service residential solar PV and battery backup systems across the Coachella Valley.

Solar Technician - Coachella Valley

This is a full-time field position for a solar technician who already knows the trade. Coachella Valley sun is one of the strongest solar resources in the country, and the work covers the full residential scope: new PV installs, battery backup systems, panel removal and reinstall for roof repairs, Tesla Wall Connector tie-ins, commissioning, and ongoing system repair. Technicians who thrive here are comfortable on roofs in desert heat, wire systems clean, and understand how to get monitoring set up correctly on the first visit. Pay is competitive and based on experience and specialties.

Inverters Install string inverters and microinverter systems. Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot common faults.
Battery backup Install Tesla Powerwall, Enphase, and Franklin battery systems with critical load panels and transfer equipment.
EV charger tie-ins Install Tesla Wall Connectors and other Level 2 EV chargers, often in coordination with solar and battery work on the same project.
Panel removal and reinstall Remove existing solar panels to allow roof repair or replacement, protect the array during off-period, then reinstall and recommission the system.
Commissioning and monitoring Commission systems, test production, set up monitoring accounts, and verify data flow before turnover to the homeowner.

Solar Work You Will Do

Experience across multiple solar scopes is helpful and in most cases required. Battery backup systems, panel removal and reinstall jobs, and system troubleshooting are the scopes where skilled technicians are hardest to find locally.
