We are hiring an experienced Flooring Installer to prep, install, and finish flooring in homes across the Coachella Valley.

Flooring Installer - Coachella Valley

This is a full-time field position for a flooring installer who already knows the trade across multiple materials. Coachella Valley homes use the full range of finishes, from luxury vinyl plank and hardwood through tile, carpet, laminate, and epoxy coatings. Installers who thrive here have real hands-on experience across these systems and take pride in clean seams, tight transitions, and surfaces that sit flat and quiet underfoot. Pay is competitive and based on experience and specialties.

What You Will Do

Core Responsibilities
Subfloor prep Inspect, level, and prep subfloors using patches, self-leveling compound, and moisture barriers to manufacturer specifications.
Layout and planning Measure rooms, calculate material needs, plan board direction and seam placement, and stage material to minimize waste.
Install flooring Install hardwood, LVP, tile, carpet, laminate, and epoxy coatings to plan and manufacturer specifications.
Cut and fit Cut precise fits around doorways, cabinets, vents, and fixtures using track saws, tile saws, jigsaws, and hand tools.
Transitions and trim Install transitions, thresholds, reducers, baseboard, and shoe molding to complete the finished look.
Finish and protect Grout tile, seal seams, apply finish coatings as required, and protect the finished surface before turnover.
Site safety and communication Maintain a clean, safe job site and communicate professionally with leads, other trades, and homeowners.

Flooring Types You Will Install

Experience across multiple flooring types is helpful and in most cases required. Hardwood, LVP, tile, and carpet are the highest-volume installs across our Coachella Valley projects, with epoxy coatings and laminate rounding out the scope.

Flooring We Install, Repair, and Replace
Hardwood Solid and engineered hardwood, nail-down, glue-down, and floating installs. Experience with sanding, finishing, and refinish work is a plus.
Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) Click-lock and glue-down LVP, high-volume across the valley. Clean seams and straight runs on long hallways separate experienced installers from the rest.
Tile Ceramic, porcelain, and travertine in bathrooms, kitchens, entryways, and patios. Wet saw work, layout, backer board, thinset, grout, and sealing.
Carpet Stretch-in and glue-down carpet with proper tack strip, pad, seams, and transitions in bedrooms, living areas, and stairs.
Laminate Click-lock laminate with proper underlayment, expansion gaps, and transitions to adjacent surfaces.
Epoxy Floor Coatings Epoxy coatings for garages, patios, and interior concrete. Surface prep, moisture testing, and color flake or solid finish application.
Subfloor and Leveling Self-leveling compound, patching, crack isolation membranes, and moisture mitigation on concrete slabs.
Trim and Transitions Baseboard, shoe molding, stair nosing, reducers, T-molding, and thresholds to complete any flooring job.
Hardwood, LVP, and tile experience stands out. Verifiable experience across these systems significantly strengthens your application.

What We Require From You

  • Minimum 5 years of residential flooring installation experience. Hard minimum.
  • Hands-on experience with multiple flooring materials, with preference for hardwood, LVP, tile, carpet, laminate, and epoxy coatings.
  • Strong subfloor prep skills, including leveling, moisture testing, and preparing concrete slabs common in Coachella Valley homes.
  • Clean cut, fit, and finish work around doorways, cabinets, vents, and transitions where craftsmanship shows.
  • Physical stamina to lift 75 lbs and spend extended time on your knees throughout the day.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites across the valley.
  • Professional communication with leads, other trades, and homeowners.

What Sets Strong Applicants Apart

  • Hardwood refinishing experience including sanding, staining, and finish coat application.
  • Large-format tile experience with leveling systems and proper lippage control.
  • Epoxy coating experience including metallic, color flake, and solid color finishes on residential garages and patios.
  • Manufacturer certifications from brands like Shaw, Mohawk, Armstrong, CoreTec, or Schluter.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish.
  • Experience running a small crew or acting as a lead installer on residential jobs.
