We are hiring an experienced Residential Roof Installer to install, repair, and replace roofing systems on homes across the Coachella Valley.

Residential Roof Installer - Coachella Valley

This is a full-time field position for a roofer who already knows the trade. Coachella Valley homes run the full spectrum of roof types, from shingle and tile through foam, modified bitumen, and single-ply membranes, and the installers who thrive here have real experience across multiple systems. Desert conditions, steep slopes, and weather-driven schedules are part of the job. Pay is competitive and based on experience and specialties.

What You Will Do

Core Responsibilities
Install roof systems Shingles, underlayment, flashing, ridge caps, tile, foam, single-ply membranes, and coatings on new and existing homes.
Inspect and repair decking Check for rot or damage and make necessary repairs before new material goes down.
Load and stage materials Move and distribute materials across job sites safely and efficiently.
Measure and cut Fit materials to roof dimensions, including hips, valleys, and penetrations.
Waterproof details Seal valleys, vents, skylights, chimneys, and wall-to-roof transitions correctly the first time.
Site safety and communication Maintain a clean, safe job site and communicate professionally with leads and homeowners.

Roof Systems You Will Work On

Experience across multiple systems is helpful and in most cases required. Foam, tile, and single-ply membrane experience is especially valued and hardest to find locally.

Roof Types We Install, Repair, and Replace
Shingle Asphalt composition, the most common residential system across Coachella Valley tract homes.
Tile Concrete and clay tile, standard across Coachella Valley developments.
Foam (SPF) Spray polyurethane foam, common on flat and low-slope sections. Hands-on experience strongly preferred.
Wood Shake On older and custom Coachella Valley homes.
Metal Standing seam and exposed fastener on modern builds.
Flat and Low-Slope Drainage, slope, and ponding prevention across a range of substrates.
Modified Bitumen Torch-down and cold-applied mod-bit systems.
TPO Single-ply membrane with seam welding. Common on flat residential sections.
PVC Chemically welded single-ply membrane for flat and low-slope applications.
EPDM Rubber membrane with proper adhesive and seam tape.
Concrete Repair and sealing on mid-century and custom homes.
Gravel and Built-Up On older Coachella Valley properties.
Cool Roof Reflective installations meeting Title 24 requirements.
Silicone Coating Applied over existing roofs to extend service life.
Elastomeric Coating On flat and low-slope roofs with proper surface prep.
Foam, tile, and single-ply experience stands out. Verifiable experience on these systems significantly strengthens your application.

What We Require From You

  • Minimum 5 years of residential roofing installation experience. Hard minimum.
  • Hands-on experience with multiple roof systems, with preference for foam, tile, shingle, and at least one single-ply membrane (TPO, PVC, or EPDM).
  • Ability to work at heights in desert heat, where rooftop temperatures regularly exceed 140 degrees in summer.
  • Solid understanding of roofing materials, flashing, and installation methods across pitched and low-slope systems.
  • Physical stamina to lift 75 lbs and work on steep slopes for a full shift.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites across the valley.
  • Professional communication with leads, other trades, and homeowners.

What Sets Strong Applicants Apart

  • Foam (SPF) experience. Hard to find, in steady demand, moves applications to the top of the stack.
  • Tile experience on concrete and clay, including walking tile without breakage.
  • Single-ply certifications from Carlisle, GAF, Firestone, or Johns Manville.
  • Cool roof and Title 24 familiarity.
  • Bilingual English and Spanish.
  • Manufacturer installer certifications or fall protection training.
